Simply Marvelous BBQ - About Marv`s Marvlus Pit Bar-B-Q

Marv's Ancestor

At Marv's Marvlus Pit Bar-B-Q we've been cooking low and slow Southern Style Barbecue since 1994, some of Marv's ancestors have been doing it the same way since pre-history!

We bring the pit to every party we cater, we freshly prepare, assemble and custom cook your dinner on site.

We will bring everything... including our smoker / barbecue pit and all necessary equipment and arrive at your party location many hours before your guests, to begin adding that great smoke flavor. This guarantees you the freshest food and the greatest taste.

Our smoker / barbecue pit cooks at 200-225 degrees, unlike grills that cook at 600-900 degrees.

Grilling is a fine method of cooking, but it doesn't produce food with the hearty, woodsy resonance of slow-smoked fare. Those who have tasted true barbecue know the difference, and they are almost certain to be passionate about the distinction. For them, smoked ribs are as superior to a grilled pork chop as a lottery win is to paying taxes.

In the same vein, anyone who has spent an afternoon slowly barbecuing with a group of children or friends understands why the two forms of cooking are so different.

Many Americans have made BBQ their traditional party of preference. It's a national pastime that's older than baseball and it can be just as spirited.

When you add all the fun to the flavor of the food, you don't need a diploma to tell you that you have reached a new level of barbecue bliss.

The two essentials of real barbecue are a low cooking temperature and a cloud of wood smoke. The best way to barbecue is with a log fire, which is how it all began, and this is the way Marv does it.

Now you can have our authentic wood burning pit right in your own back yard... (Folks tell us it looks like a cross between a steam locomotive and a submarine... 17 ft long).

Dazzle your friends and neighbors and listen to their "ooohs" & "aaahs" as they look into our barbeque pit and see their dinner being roasted in front of their eyes. The result is a heap of real good eatin'.
